It's that time of year again when hockey registration opens and parents everywhere start taking their kids back to the rinks. As a proud father of three young daughters, and the organizer of the Queen Bees Girls Hockey League in Norwood, Ontario, I'm thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all of you to join us for an incredible season of hockey fun and growth.
The main purpose of this league is to have fun! For those who played with us last year or are eager to lace up their skates for the first time, here's what you need to know:
League Details:
Season Duration: Our program is the same as previous years with 20 skates/games for girls aged 6-13 between Sept 29th and April 6th. Our regular time slots for this season will be Sundays 9am, 10am & 11am.
Age Range: Girls aged 6 to 13 are welcome to be a part of our league, where friendships are forged on the ice and memories are made.
Skill Levels: Whether your daughter is just starting her hockey journey or already hitting slap shots like a pro, our league is open to all skill levels. It's about having fun and supporting each other's growth. Players must be able to skate on their own.
Teams: Each team will consist of a younger line and an older line, and will be evenly distributed with skill.
Players' Origin: We have girls joining us from Warkworth, Apsley, Havelock, and our local community, creating a diverse and vibrant hockey family.
Cost and Registration:
Cost this year will be $180/player via e-transfer to: jasonbegg19@hotmail.com
To plan the season accordingly and ensure a roster spot, please register as soon as possible by clicking the link, adding player's info, and sending registration fee https://forms.office.com/r/NNxyJevPqU
*Will need to complete one form for each player in your household*

Volunteer Opportunities
To run the league, volunteers are needed to coach, run practices, timekeepers, referee, and make sure game days run smoothly. If you are able to help in any capacity, please indicate in the form above.
About Me: As a father of three young daughters and a financial advisor by profession, organizing the Queen Bees Girls Hockey League is my way of giving back to our community. I believe in the power of sports to instill confidence, teamwork, and resilience in our youth, and I'm passionate about providing a safe and inclusive space for girls to thrive on and off the ice.
At the Queen Bees Girls Hockey League, our mission is simple: to foster a love for hockey while nurturing friendships and personal growth. Whether your daughter dreams of becoming the next hockey superstar or simply wants to have fun with her friends, she'll find a home with us. If you're interested in joining or know someone who might be, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
